The museum of the history of the rolling stock of South-South Railway is located in the city of Chelyabinsk at the station Chelyabinsk-Main. This is an open-air museum. Exceptionally interesting place, a real Ural sight. And, if the dear reader thinks where to go on the day off, this is a very good option, you can stop on the way.
On the territory there is an interesting thematic selection of railway equipment with a detailed description, photoexposure. A special pride is the model of the Cherepanov brothers' steamer cohort and the P36-0182 locomotive. Judging by the data from the Internet, this is the only steam locomotive of this type left in the country. However, apart from these exhibits, there is something to see. In front of the entrance to the museum is an impressive monument dedicated to the workers of the rear during the Great Patriotic War, then for hundreds of meters the technical exposition stretched itself.
The museum is open to the Victory Day in 2005, the territory is always clean and cozy. The time for me personally remained a mystery. One of the caretakers said: "Yes, while we are working lightly, please come in." By the way, caretakers are extremely polite and friendly. It is extremely interesting to visit the museum with children - they are absolutely delighted. Approximate duration is 40-60 minutes.
