Various holidays, festivals, meetings and conferences are periodically held on the banks.
One curious fact is connected with Lake Chebarkul: here is the site of the fall of one of the fragments of the Chelyabinsk meteorite. The “Messenger” from space appeared in the sky on February 15, 2013, bringing with it numerous destructions, more than a thousand people suffered from the consequences of this “invasion”. Fortunately, there were no deaths. At the moment, the largest fragments of the celestial body are in the Museum of Local History of Chelyabinsk.
